Have a go at some traditional rural crafts, from weaving to rag rugging, seed bombs to corn dollies, for all ages, no expertise required!
In honour of our new temporary exhibition ‘Matilda Temperley – A View From The Hill’, we will be hosting some talented demonstrators and having a go ourselves at a variety of crafts.

Book on to one of our workshops to try your hand at the different crafts and make your own beautiful pieces to take home. There will be demonstrations to see crafters display techniques between 10am and 2pm each day, with workshops to have a go from
10:30 – 11:30 or 12:00 – 1:00

These workshops are most suitable for children of school age and their grown-ups, but are accessible to all ages and abilities with adult support.

Micro Tech Madness Workshops @ Weston Museum

Join the team from Computer Xplorers for a ton of micro tech fun! With a variety of programming options to suit all abilities, and the BBC Micro:Bits range of inputs and outputs, you will create distress beacons, wearable technology, exploration tools, games and more, using a variety of robot sensors and even radio signals!

These half day workshops are most suitable for children aged 7 and over and their grown-ups. Accompanying adults do not need to purchase a separate ticket.

Session times – 10:30-12:30, 1:00-3:00

Pre-booking recommended, tickets cost £20 and will be available for purchase once the museum reopens following current government advice during the isolation period.
