History Week – The Victorians @ Weston Museum
Feb 21 @ 10:00 – 17:00

We are delighted to welcome back History Week from Monday 18th February 2019 to Friday 22 February 2019.

Step back in time and enjoy a full day of historical activities! Meet scores of re-enactors who will provide a glimpse into a different age. Featuring marching Romans soldiers, Iron Age craftsmen, medieval herbalists, Victorian re-enactors and some WW2 characters to name but a few!

This is a FREE event in our covered courtyard so drop in any time between 10.00 am – 5.00 pm.

On Thursday look out for The Ragged Victorians – the ‘Great Unwashed’ as they re-enact the lives of the lower classes of Victorian England, circa 1851 Low class Victorians lived by whatever means they could. With no homes, no income and no benefit system for support, an honest day’s work could mean labouring in the most degrading jobs in the world, for little or scant reward.

Suitable for the whole family. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Enjoy lunch at Clara’s Café with lunch box specials for children!
