Following the popularity of our ‘Fossils and Dinosaurs’ session specially designed for home educator families, we will be running a series of 3 workshops focusing on learning about our ‘Ancient Ancestors’. These will cover:

  • the Stone Age and Bronze Age
  • the Iron Age
  • the Romans

All sessions are very hands-on and interactive, with a mixture of handling objects, craft activities and dressing up. These sessions will be adaptations of our learning sessions currently offered (with lots of great feedback received!) to schools, about which you can find out more here. The standard sessions are aimed primarily at 7-11 year olds/Key stage 2, but this series will be welcoming a slightly wider range of around 5-12 year olds.

Dates and Times – The sessions will be offered as a series and will take place on Thursdays—16th February, 2nd March and 16th March 2017, 11.30am—2pm (please arrive by 11.20am), with a break of 30 minutes in the middle to stop for lunch (not included)

Location – The St Jude’s Hall at St Peter’s Church, Baytree road, Milton, W-s-M, BS22 8HG (there is some parking for the church)

Cost for the series of workshops — £20 per child, £17 for additional siblings. Pre-booking is essential for this series and needs to be made before Monday 13th February, please contact the learning officer for details on how to make payment.
