Community Gallery

(Past, Present and Future)

Weston Museum’s Community Gallery tells the story of Weston and its people. Find out What’s on by clicking HERE

Weston super Mare is home to a broad cross-section of communities and each one has a story to tell.  Our work with community groups has allowed us to share their stories with locals and visitors alike.

So far we have been delighted to work with the following groups to help celebrate their stories:

  • Greek Cypriots of Weston
  • North Somerset Black & Ethnic Minority group
  • Alzheimer’s Society
  • Uphill Village Society
  • The Spanish Civil War and the West Country
  • Weston Pride LGBT+
  • Citizens Advice
  • Weston, Clevedon & Portishead Railway
  • North Somerset Gypsies and Travellers
  • Weston-super-Mare Multi-Cultural Friendship Association
  • Weston-super-Mare Rotary Club

The Community Gallery houses a professional display case which allows community groups to display artefacts and our interactive touch screen helps you explore images, videos and oral history recordings.

The Community Gallery is put together by museum volunteers and has been made possible by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Sharing Heritage grant.

  • Alzheimers Community Gallery
  • Community Gallery 1
  • Community Gallery 2
  • Daylightplus Group
  • Families United Against Dementia
  • Uphill

This is a space for telling your story
